MGH-Inspired Blog Posts and Teacher Resources from Facing History
Facing History and Ourselves
Throughout June, Learn+Teach+Share, a blog by the nonprofit Facing History and Ourselves, devoted four posts to the history of the city of Los Angeles and the LGBTQ civil rights movement between 1940 and 1980. Using MGH’s episodes about Edythe Eyde, Chuck Rowland, Dr. Evelyn Hooker, and Deborah Johnson and Zandra Rolón Amato as their starting point, the posts offer teaching prompts and resources to bring LGBTQ history into the classroom.
